Aura Ra is a musical duo founded by Grigory and Nadezhda Mashtalir — a married couple who have been together for over 20 years. For the majority of that time, they have dedicated themselves to spiritual practices, sound healing, and meditative arts. Their path includes deep work with healing instruments such as the gong, immersive retreats across Asia, and profound exploration of mantra and silence.

Aura Ra fuses sacred Eastern mantras with analog textures and modern electronic soundscapes — creating a timeless and healing musical space where spirituality meets cinematic expression, and East meets West.

Mettā is the Pali word for loving-kindness — a universal, unconditional form of love that transcends ego, borders, and belief systems. This album is a sonic offering for healing, meditation, and awakening — both spiritual and emotional.

The album’s central motif is the gong, used as a healing frequency resonating throughout the tracks. Each composition is built around ancient mantras known for their restorative, protective, and enlightening qualities.
